Went searching for a snack before a dinner commitment and found Isaac, whose restaurant Jatay offers a dynamite deal on lobster dinner with free stuff including a free drink thrown in. I told him I could only do something small because I had a dinner commitment and asked if Jatay had clam chowder - they do, and it's delicious! - and he said I was welcome and showed me to the free parking. There were tables of people enjoying the lobster and I was envious, wishing I'd scrapped those dinner plans so I could hang out and eat the whole shebang. Ceviche, chips and salsa appeared suddenly and unexpectedly and they were fantastic, especially the ceviche. And then the clam chowder arrived - soooo good, full of big juicy clams and so much that I had to take it with me. I will be returning to restaurant Jatay for their friendly atmosphere, their great service, great prices and for the lobster dinner I missed out on! And for more clam chowder Thanks restaurant Jatay!
Super yummy Lobster dinner soup beans rice tortillas and margaritas! , this is an awesome family place. Sweet family run restaurant with a cool history started with the Grandfather as a fisherman Jaytay “high tide”.
THIS PLACE IS AMAZING. We are in Mexico for a day and they had amazing service and food. We got lobster, margarita, rice beans AND tortilla for 25. They are so kind it is family owned. Best restaurant in Mexico
Son took over the restaurant, excellent food and service, clean and delicious, I was brought up in Tijuana and would always go to Puerto nuevo #1, last 2 times I was there it was so expensive and not fresh ,the waiter never came over after he took the order. This place was clean and you could actually have a conversation with your family. Love it will start coming here.
